Slightly more in-depth

I’m Nori, also known as Katze at various places around the internets. I’m a 23-year-old college student who still lives with her mother, I lack motivation to do anything and I still have no idea what I want to be when I grow up. I’m a child at heart (and sometimes in mind), and I like to play with action figures and sleep with a teddy bear named Grapefruit (long story). I have an unhealthy attachment to Gundams and Dragonballs, as well as fictional tennis teams.

My sexual preference is “none”, and am currently attached at the hip to my longtime-friend-turned-girlfriend Cris, who is without a doubt, one of the most awesome and beautiful people on the planet.

I hate the word ‘facetious’, abuse parentheses, and use far too many smilies/emoticons than is probably sane or necessary.

I began my foray into web designing (I use this term loosely, as most of what I do can hardly be described as ‘design’) sometime in 2000 and have been (slowly) working to improve my work since. I tend to be too lazy for making real fansites or shrines, so 99% of the time I end up with fanlistings.

I enjoy writing and drawing, reading anything I can get my hands on, sewing, cosplaying, horseback riding and mocking things (the more I mock, the more I love).

I have a large family, of which are mentioned at random and you may learn a bit more about them (as I use aliases) using the Family link above. Among my family are also numerous pets that take up a lot of my free time. They’re mentioned often, so here you go:

Akaya & Yuupon

Akaya & Yuupon

Akaya and Yuupon (a.k.a Yuu or Fraidle) are my goofy cats. Akaya was the runt in a litter of feral kittens born in our garage, but we found them early enough that they could be tamed as pets. He virtually adopted Yuu and her (feral/set free) mother when Yuu was still a tiny kitten. Unfortunately momma-cat ended up with a really nasty broken leg and had to be taken to the vet – thankfully once it healed she was able to be placed through the clinic. Yuu is the biggest scaredy-cat on the planet, and was once known as our Dachshund Cat – she was nearly as long as Akaya but only half his height. I was surprised to one day find that she had grown legs (but she’s still a bitty thing).

Khisme & Shamar

Khisme & Shamar

Khisme (the bay) and Shamar (the chestnut) are my two Arabians. I’ve had Khisme since birth (she’s 16 as of this writing) and Shamar is a more recent acquisition (we bought him in May, 2008). Currently they’re boarded at my childhood riding instructor’s place in Potter Valley, so I can only get over to work with them on weekends.

Axl & Carley

Axl & Carley

Axl (the German Shepherd) and Carley (the Cocker Spaniel) are the ones dubbed as “the big guys”. They were both more-or-less rescues – Axl from his last night at the pound, and Carley, who had been through four homes before she was a year old and was abused, decided that she wanted my mum to own her – while my mum was visiting the friend who had her (and had offered mum the dog on several occasions), Carley escaped the house while mum was leaving and jumped in the back window of her car, and refused to get out. Mum didn’t really have a choice XD They’re both big sweethearts, and since we’ve gotten the puppies (see below), Axl has turned into a clingy fluff-bunny who is always underfoot. x3

Fritz & Eden

Fritz (a black w/ tan points dog) and Eden (a sable bitch), both German Shepherd puppies, are also dubbed “The Puppies”. Eden was originally purchased as a breeding bitch and Fritz as simply a pet, but unfortunately Eden has been diagnosed with OCD and cannot be bred as it is a hereditary/genetic disease. Fritz has also shown signs of being afflicted with it, but has not had an official diagnosis. After their initial bouts with it, they’re both currently in excellent health and acting as puppies should.

They’re both fairly calm and tend to not get worked up over much, and when they do, they’re easily calmed.

Another pup to be mentioned is Raja, who is S&J’s adorable goofy mutt that spends a lot of time at my house.

The birds

Mum’s a bird freak. She’s even sacrificed her bedroom to being the “bird room”. Currently we have fivefour birds – two parakeets (Jeff and Gregory, both female . . . K named them)Spawn of Satan has them now, two cockatiels (Sunny and Tweety who was already named, both female), a Green-winged Macaw (currently unnamed) and an African Grey parrot (Rafiki, thought to be male). I’m not too big on the bird thing myself, but they’re nice to have around and fairly quiet other than chirping and whistling.
